At Queensland Academy, our classrooms are designed to be bright, safe, and engaging spaces where students feel confident to learn and explore. Each room combines modern furniture with Montessori-inspired materials to support hands-on learning from Pre-Primary to Secondary level.
We keep class sizes small so teachers can give every child personal attention and adapt lessons to their pace. Natural light, open layouts, and colorful learning corners help make the environment stimulating but calm.
Our multi-media rooms bring lessons to life with interactive screens, projectors, and digital resources. Students from Primary 4 up use these spaces for presentations, science simulations, and collaborative projects. It’s where technology meets hands-on learning, helping students build digital skills alongside core subjects.
Our library and reading corners are filled with age-appropriate books in English, Nigerian literature, and illustrated storybooks for younger learners. We use a mix of Montessori reading materials and Nigerian curriculum texts to build a love for reading early. Each week, students have dedicated reading time to explore, borrow, and discuss books with teachers.
Admissions for the new academic session open in March. You can register online or visit any Queensland Academy campus. Early registration is advised as spaces fill quickly for Pre-Primary and JSS1.
We use a blended approach. Pre-Primary classes follow Montessori methods, while Primary and Secondary classes follow the Nigerian 9-Year Basic Education Curriculum and prepare students for BECE, WAEC, and NECO.
School runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Term dates follow the Lagos and Abuja state academic calendar, with 3 terms per year. You’ll receive the full calendar on admission.
